Product Overview:
Stellite 12 cobalt based cast rods (AWS A5.21:2001 ERCoCr-B) are a cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloy formulated for overlay welding applications where enhanced resistance to abrasion and wear is required. The alloy features a higher tungsten content, which contributes to a higher matrix hardness and improved abrasion resistance in the deposited weld metal. The overlay is designed to offer a combination of corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and wear resistance, maintaining these characteristics at service temperatures up to approximately 800°C. The deposited metal retains machinability, allowing for post-weld finishing if needed.
